TOUCHED
DIEP PHAM / DARTMOUTH COLLEGE
Joe’s world had been bleached since his girlfriend left him. At night, he kept thinking about her and tried to figure out why the relationship didn’t work. One gloomy winter day, as he was slowly sipping his black, bitter coffee, he looked up and saw a beautiful, lovely girl eating ice cream like it was summer. His hope was lit up. Perhaps she could bring colors back into his life?
ABOUT THE FILMMAKER: Diep Pham is originally from Vietnam but she has been living in the U.S. for six years. At Dartmouth, she majored in Economics and minored in Film & Television Studies. Her passion for filmmaking has started as early as 2005 when she went back to Vietnam with two friends and made a documentary about her home country to show at her high school. At college, she took two production courses in the Film department, when she made a handful of short films on her own or in collaboration with her classmates. Diep has graduated and is now working for an economic consulting firm in Washington DC. Despite her busy schedule, she has been sketching out ideas for her next projects.
